dear ladies and gentlemen, i would be very happy if my letter to the editor was printed in the bnn.

it is good that intellectuals and artists or writers like jürgen lodemann (book title: fessenheim) are managing to bring the critical topic to a broader mass of society to confront "nuclear power". mr. lodemann chooses clear words here to describe the risks (potential dangers of nuclear power) that people face, especially in the rhine valley (but also all over the world). clear words that everyone must take seriously. he calls the peaceful use of nuclear power "highly intelligent brainlessness" and "the scientists haven't thought it through" - i would say they haven't thought at all, just studied the atoms and molecules instead of including the world in all its wholeness and beauty in their research. i would like more people from the arts and culture to give this matter public space (such as the opera doctor atomic) so that the madness of nuclear technology can finally be exposed and stopped before it is too late. and above all, that the critical scientists also speak out and raise their voices against this curse of pure faith in technology.
