 Ask a Question

Letter to the editor on the bnn article from july 4th, 2012: when the car becomes a mini plane.

it seems to me as if kit karlsruhe could develop random things without aim but ignore the really important, future-oriented research. how can we develop flying cars or hold on to the supposedly unfeasible energy transition fairy tale, or spend time and money on traffic jam research? to e.g. b. to avoid traffic jams, it is clear that traffic should be shifted to rail, local public transport should be promoted, jobs in the surrounding area are necessary, car sharing is important and car trains and train stations must be redesigned in such a way that, for example, short cars like the smart can drive on and off trains at right angles to the direction of travel, at any time and individually.

that's why my suggestion: instead of researching flying cars etc., the "exelites" could, for example. b. deal with the topic of complexity in order to find a solution for the controversial topic of "new rhine bridge" that is supported by everyone - keyword: "sensitivity model". the kit researchers could let off steam on such a realistic research object and do a real service to the people of karlsruhe and the world and then apply their findings to other complex questions of the time.

p.s. the term "sensitivity model" is a term that was coined by frederic vester and is used for complexity research (networked thinking) that we all urgently need - in stark contrast to flying cars.
