- recommended smoke pipe length min. 2, better 3 m or chimney connection. in terms of construction law, the oven is comparable to a grill or a charcoal stove. the distance to combustible materials is 20 cm. before connecting, you should consult your chimney sweep.

- the fireclay bricks can crack if the oven is heated up too quickly or water gets on the hot plates. therefore, only heat up the oven slowly (only use finely chopped, dry, untreated wood) and sweep it dry. while the fire is burning, the supply air slots in the oven door and the smoke pipe flap must be open. if there is neither fire nor embers in the oven, for example when baking bread, the air supply and the smoke flap must be closed.

- attention: do not put the thermometer in the oven while the oven is being heated up. the temperature can then rise well over 500 degrees near the flame.

- when baking pizza, tarte flambée or flatbreads, move the embers to the right side and bake while the fire is burning. it can be baked continuously if small pieces of wood are added again and again (large pieces of wood produce smoke!). the built-in thermometer can then display 350-400 degrees.
to bake bread, cakes and meat, clear the embers from the oven (beware of the risk of fire!), put the thermometer in the oven and bake bread and rolls directly on the stone or in the tin at approx. 250-300 degrees (after clearing the embers, wait approx. 30-60 minutes so that the temperature can be evenly distributed in the oven).1 kg of bread requires approx. 1 hour baking time. bake the cake in the tin at approx. 200-250 degrees. depending on the size and type, bake meat and fish in an appropriate baking pan.

the residual heat can be used to cook at low temperatures or to dehydrate fruit. the oven is completely odorless and tasteless every time it is heated up.

- if bread is baked a second time, the oven must be heated up again.
