for walnuts, please note:
- crush the nuts for ca 59 into pieces of approx. 4-max 6 mm (ice crusher?)
- if there is too much flour, this often happens blockages in the funnel
- it has to be heated permanently (approx. 80-100°c) and a dimmer is necessary for this, as the standard heating ring cannot be regulated.

here are two examples of socket dimmers. importantly, these must be suitable for at least 300w be!!!!

off from our experience i can say that the nuts cannot be processed immediately after harvest.
if they have been stored dry for about 2-3 months, the moisture content for oil production is ok!
should then be about 6-8%.

many of our customers press the sunflower seeds with the shell on.
the oil has a slightly bitterer taste than that of peeled sunflower seeds and some customers say so desired.
with peeled sunflower seeds, you have to make sure that they have to be heated constantly.
but the oil is much more neutral in taste (softer in taste).
with the ca 59, the sunflower seeds shouldn't be too big, otherwise there will be some problems with the intake.

p.s. the walnuts cannot be crushed so well with an ice crusher. we then ground the walnuts more or less coarsely using a zyllis kitchen grater. then the oil could be pressed very well!




the oil press / vegetable oil press from the komet series is characterized by a special cold pressing process in which pure conveyor screws are used in the oil press to press out the oil instead of individual compression screws. this means that the oilseeds are pressed gently without constant mixing and tearing. one advantage of the process is that a large number of oilseeds, seeds and nuts can be processed without changing the screws and without changing the oil outlet openings, i.e. with standard oil press equipment.
the komet oil press or screw oil press is particularly easy to maintain because it does not have a multi-part strainer basket, but rather a one-piece press cylinder. this also makes it possible to switch quickly between different oilseeds, which is particularly important when processing small batches. another advantage is the shape of the press cake that emerges from the oil press as pellets and is easy to store and transport. the oil, produced from the oil press / screw oil press, is characterized by excellent quality due to the low pressing temperature and the particularly gentle pressing and, depending on the starting material, can be used as cooking oil without further treatment.
